How scoring works:
Every win earns your team 3 points; every tie earns 1. As the tournament progresses, those points multiply. Group stage results count at face value, but each knockout round doubles the stakes (Round of 32 = ร—2, Round of 16 = ร—4, Quarters = ร—8, Semis = ร—16, Final = ร—32).

On top of that, upsets pay a bonus during the group stage-- so if your Tier 2 team beats a Tier 1, or your Tier 3 beats a Tier 2, points are doubled. If your Tier 3 pulls off the unthinkable and beats a Tier 1? Triple points.

Your final score is the sum of all three teams' earnings-- so a deep run by your underdog can absolutely flip the leaderboard.
